Terms and Conditions

See the full terms and conditions that apply to booking and staying in Chalet Cygnet, Nendaz, Switzerland.

1. BOOKING A HOLIDAY

a) A holiday booking is made between Alpine Comfort Sàrl and the signatory of your quotation who must be over 18 years of age (“you”). All correspondence to Alpine Comfort Sàrl is to be addressed to: Alpine Comfort Sàrl, Chalet Cygnet, Les Raches, 1996 Saclentse / Nendaz, Switzerland. The booking procedure is as laid out in the section “How to book” on our website.
b) The contract between you and Alpine Comfort Sàrl is in all circumstances to be governed by these booking conditions.
c) A booking is confirmed at the moment Alpine Comfort Sàrl receives the signed booking contract including a non refundable deposit of 30% of the holiday price. Balance of payment is due 56 days before arrival or payment in full if the holiday is booked within 56 days of the start date.

2. AMENDMENTS BY YOU
a) Amendments must be confirmed in writing, signed by you or any authorised member of your group. They will come into effect on the day they are received by Alpine Comfort Sàrl. You agree to indemnify Alpine Comfort Sàrl for any reasonable expenses incurred in making an amendment whether or not Alpine Comfort Sàrl succeeds in confirming your request.
b) Subject to availability, any change of dates within the same season more than 56 days prior to departure will be accepted by Alpine Comfort Sàrl without charge. A change of dates to a future season or within 56 days of departure will be deemed a full cancellation.

3. AMENDMENTS BY ALPINE COMFORT SARL
a) We reserve the right to advise you of a change to your holiday both before and after you make a reservation. An amendment made prior to departure which is deemed to be significant by Alpine Comfort Sàrl (for example a change of dates or a change in accommodation standards) gives you the right to cancel the holiday if you choose. Should you cancel in such circumstances you will receive a full refund.
b) Once your holiday has started, Alpine Comfort Sàrl will pay you a pro-rata refund for any part of your holiday which, due to an amendment made by Alpine Comfort Sàrl, cannot be taken.
c) Please note that Alpine Comfort Sàrl cannot pay expenses, costs or losses incurred by you as a result of any change or cancellation and shall not be liable for any refund should Alpine Comfort Sàrl be forced to cancel or change your holiday due to circumstances amounting to Force Majeure. Such circumstances shall include, but are not limited to, war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorism, industrial disruption, natural disasters, fire, technical problems, adverse weather, governmental action and similar events beyond our control.

4. CANCELLATION BY YOU
a) Any cancellation will come into effect the day written notice is received by Alpine Comfort Sàrl and will be refunded as shown in the table below. Recorded delivery is strongly recommended.
Full refund if cancellation is made more than 56 days prior to arrival. A cancellation within the 56days will be dealt as follows.

b) Depending on the reason for your cancellation, you may be able to reclaim these charges under the terms of your insurance policy.
c) Please note that your flight refund will be dependent on your flight ticket type. Alpine Comfort Sàrl will not refund any flight cost or other already booked activities.

5. CANCELLATION BY ALPINE COMFORT SARL
a) In all cases, Alpine Comfort Sàrl reserves the right to cancel your holiday for the dates you have reserved. This is extremely unlikely, but should this event occur you will be fully refunded.
b) If you fail to pay the balance of the booking price or other costs before the due dates, Alpine Comfort Sàrl reserve the right to cancel your reservation with no refund to you.

6. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
a) As part of this contract you hereby agree to guarantee payment for any chargeable services requested by any member of your group before, during or on your final day of your holiday.
b) It is your responsibility to ensure that each member of your group carries adequate winter- and/or summer sports insurance.
c) Please treat the chalet with care and respect. Alpine Comfort Sàrl will be entitled to recover the cost of any damage caused by any member of your group before departure from the chalet. Please ensure that your insurance policy covers accidental damage to the chalet and its contents. Behaviour deemed unacceptable by Alpine Comfort Sàrl will result in the termination of your holiday and you shall have no right to a refund for your holiday or any expenses incurred as a result of the termination.
d) It is your responsibility to provide written details of any allergies suffered by any member of your group.
e) It is your full responsibility when using the outdoor Whirlpool. Alpine Comfort Sàrl accepts no responsibility regarding, accidents, injuries and or sicknesses caused by the use of the Jacuzzi or any other facilities.

7. ALPINE COMFORT’S RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Alpine Comfort Sàrl accepts responsibility for ensuring that the holiday which you book with Alpine Comfort Sàrl is supplied as described in the website and booking information.
b) Alpine Comfort Sàrl accepts responsibility for any loss, death, injury or illness caused by the negligent acts and/or omissions of Alpine Comfort’s employees, whilst acting within the scope of their employment in the provision of your holiday, except where the failure to perform or the improper performance was due to:
1) Your own acts or omissions.
2) Acts or omissions of a third party not involved with the provision of your holiday.
3) Circumstances which were unforeseeable or unavoidable even when exercising all due care.

8. PRICE GUARANTEE
a) Once your holiday has been booked its price will be fixed, in spite of any currency fluctuations. However, we reserve the right to amend our tariffs at any time before you make your reservation and you will be notified if any such amendment has been made.

9. HEALTH, PASSPORTS AND VISAS
a) It is your responsibility to ensure that documents are in proper order before you travel. Alpine Comfort Sàrl accepts no liability for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result of your failure to take reasonable care in this respect.

10. TRANSPORT
a) It is your responsibility to make your group’s travel arrangements to an airport from where Alpine Comfort Sàrl can arrange a resort transfer for you if requested. Please inform Alpine Comfort Sàrl of your own flight arrangements at least four weeks prior to departure, requesting any transfers.
b) Alpine Comfort Sàrl cannot accept responsibility for guests missing flights for any reason or mislaying or destroying travel documents, and no credit or refund will be given if you fail to take up a component of your holiday as a result.
c) Alpine Comfort Sàrl is not responsible for any flight delays but wherever possible will endeavour to provide any previously booked resort transfers.

d) Alpine Comfort Sàrl offers free of charge transfer from/to Sion station or Sion Airport on arrival and departure days on a stay of 4 nights or more. This applies only for bookings at Chalet Cygnet. On arrival days, free of charge transfers are not before 15h00, likewise for departure guests the transfer cannot be honored after 10h00. For guests with late departure flights and using our free of charge transfer to Sion, Alpine Comfort Sàrl will set the time of departure transfer according to the new arrival guests. There will be no transfer after having picked up the new arrival guests. If this schedule is not convenient with your travel times public buses and taxis are available from the resort.

11. ANY PROBLEMS
a) If you are ever unhappy with any aspect of your holiday, you must address your complaint immediately to the chalet manager. In the unlikely event that your problem cannot be resolved locally, you must inform Alpine Comfort Sàrl in writing of your complaint within 28 days of your return so that any rights to compensation can be examined.

12. END OF WEEK PAYMENTS
a) Upon request, Alpine Comfort Sàrl will make purchases on your behalf both before and during your holiday. To enable us to do so, credit card details will be held as a guarantee. Please note that any such purchases must be settled in full prior to your departure from the chalet in cash and Swiss Francs only.
b) Your end of week bill will be shown in the local currency.
c) Cash payment in the resort is accepted in the local currency only.
d) Visa and MasterCard, payments will be processed in SFR (Swiss francs) and only if the amount is higer than Chf 1500.-. otherwise cash payment only. The vast majority of services we supply in-resort are passed on to you at cost, with no handling fee. A charge of 3,0% is therefore levied on all in-resort credit card payments to cover the card charges.

13. ACTIVITIES WITH ALPINE COMFORT SARL
a) It is the responsibility of you and your group to judge the suitability of each area in which you conduct the activity. If you or any member of your group participate in a location on the recommendation of or are accompanied by any representative of Alpine Comfort Sàrl, Alpine Comfort Sàrl will not be liable for any injuries how so ever caused.

14. GIFT VOUCHERS
a) All vouchers issued by Alpine Comfort Sàrl expire 18 months after the date of issue.

15. CHALET FACILITIES
a) Check in time is 16h00 and check out is 10h00. Earlier access will only be allowed if the chalet is not occupied the previous week. Guest requiring the free of charge transfer to/from Sion please refer to 10 d) for clarification. The Chalet is NON SMOKING throughout. No pets allowed.

16. INSURANCE
a) 
It is a condition of booking that all clients have appropriate travel insurance at the time of booking.

17. GENERAL
a) Headings within these booking conditions are for reference purposes only and all images/floor plans are intended to give a general impression only.
b) These booking conditions and any matters arising from them are subject to and governed by Swiss law.
c) Alpine Comfort Sàrl reserves the right to amend any of the booking conditions at any time. Any changes made will come in to force immediately and apply to all bookings regardless of whether they were made prior to the amendment.
d) Alpine Comfort Sàrl, CH-626.4.012.269-9 is registered in Switzerland.
